The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has promised to construct modem tennis academy in Tanzania . In cooperation with the Tanzania Tennis Association (TTA)with the aim of improving the game on the country.
The government will allocate a piece of land for the centre’s construction while ITF will foot the costs of facilitating the projects,
said the TTA president. This was revealed in Dar es Salaam during the recent tour of ITF president David Haggerty who held talks with the government and TTA officials at the Lugalo Club Hall in the City.
Remember that, the ITF is the governing body of world tennis, wheel chair tennis, and beach tennis. It was founded in 1913 as the International Lawn Tennis Federation by twelve national tennis associations.
